USA Deaf Soccer Leadership Camp for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Girls

Who? Girls between the ages of 12 and 18 with any form of hearing loss

When? June 6th - June 10th

Where? Georgia School for the Deaf (232 Perry Farm Rd SW, Cave Spring, GA 30124)

Why? Our goal is to empower and instill leadership qualities in the next generation of deaf and hard of hearing females through soccer, classroom sessions, and a community service project.

Camp Costs:

$450 per camper (Payment due at time of registration)

Camp Includes:

1. Lodging in spacious dorms at Georgia School for the Deaf with 24/7 staff supervision

2. 11 meals provided with registration (Thursday dinner through Monday breakfast)

3. Transportation to and from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport if needed

4. Every camper will receive a USA Deaf Soccer Association shirt, wristband, and water bottle as part of registration cost

5. Staff will be current and former members of the USDWNT. Medical staff on site.

 

Check-in:

Campers should plan to be on GSD campus before 3pm on Thursday, June 6th.

Check-out:

Campers should plan to depart GSD campus between 11am and 1pm on Monday, June 10th.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation/refund deadline is Friday, May 24th. Refunds will NOT be issued, for any reason, if cancellations occur after this period.

Camp Curriculum:

- Sports sessions, interactive classroom lessons and activities, and guest speakers on various leadership topics.

- Every camper will plan a community service project that she can implement in her own community. We will help offer guidance and our own input during these sessions.

4 Facts to Know about the US Deaf Women's National Team:

1. The USDWNT has won 3 Deaflympic Gold Medals and 2 Deaf World Championships.

2. We are undefeated in international play with an overall record of 26 wins, 0 ties, and 0 losses -144 goals scored, 10 goals against over a 14 year period

3. Our backgrounds are diverse - some of us sign, some of us use voice, some of us wear hearing devices and some of us don't.

4. Ages range from 14 to 38, we come from all walks of lives and areas of the U.S.
